The Ernest Henry is a beautifully restored 4 star, two bedroom Lodge in a converted Courtyard building here at Belan, which used to be a farm machinery store and tool shed. It is named after the famed Artic Explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton from nearby Kilkea, who would have frequently spent time here as a boy, exploring his Uncle Richard Ebenezer’s farm here when on family visits. The Ernest Henry is very spacious and contains 2 large bedrooms with a double and a single bed in one and a king sized bed in the master bedroom, with a doorway opening onto a verandah, overlooking the yards, laneway and fields. There is also a landing and bathroom upstairs. Downstairs is a hallway with a toilet and bathroom leading to a very generous kitchen/dining area. The finish of this Lodge is of the highest standard.
